For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.

Amanda Gorman, The Hill we Climb

The over-arching theme of my 1000+ daily posts on this site is #OpenLeadership, core traits of which include: humility, curiosity, open-ness and, above all, bravery.

I also often write about beauty and love Alan Moore’s provocation of “how can your business be more beautiful”.

“Where were you when?” is one of those questions people only tend to ask after a period of hindsight, but not today. I will always remember the moment when I watched Amanda Gorman recite her poem at the Presidential inauguration yesterday.

Yesterday this amazing poet spoke beautifully and bravely and painted a picture of her America, an America to believe in, to strive for.

Today I’ll simply share with you the video of that moment, then the full transcript.
